The tooling assembly design ensures that mandrels are centrally positioned when assembled into the cast housing and remain in this position throughout the moulding process. This ensures that each fitting/cast body has a uniform lining thickness and zero residual stress. The lining procedure also guarantees that the liner fits tightly within the cast housing, which is critical for high vacuum ratings.
